Central Facilities
MRL Computing Facility

The MRL supports research computing through the UCSB Center for Scientific Computing. The MRL and CNSI founded the CSC in 2009 in an effort to promote effective use of High Performance Computing in the reserach environment. The MRL and CSC offer over 2000 CPU cores with high speed interconnect to researchers, with additional focused compute nodes for GPU optimized code and nodes for large memory needs. A variety of compilers and software are available to researchers including Gaussian, FFTW 2 & 3, Allinea DDt, NAG, VASP, Intel Compilers, MatLab, & R.

If you would like a research computing account, please visit the CSC Request User Account page.
