The established strength of our international programs enabled us to compete successfully in the recent NSF IMI competition, as a consequence the International Center for Materials Research at UCSB was established in August 2004. Former MRL Director Tony Cheetham has become the Director of this new center. In addition to running its own programs, the ICMR will administer the international activities of the MRL. |
