The established strength of our international programs enabled us to compete successfully in the recent NSF IMI competition; as a consequence the International Center for Materials Research at UCSB was established in August 2004. Founded by former MRL Director Anthony Cheetham, it is currently directed by Professor Nicola Spaldin. In addition to running its own programs, the ICMR will administer the international activities of the MRL. |
