Cooperative International Science and Engineering Internships:
The Materials Research Laboratory (MRL) and The International Center for Materials Research (ICMR) are seeking undergraduate science and engineering undergraduates who are interested in pursuing a research experience overseas. This internship program will send science and engineering majors from UCSB to international partner institutions for a 10-week summer research experience. Internships are available at research centers in Shanghai-China; Santiago-Chile; Eindhoven-Netherlands; Oxford-England; Taejon-Korea, Dublin-Ireland, Queensland-Australia and Stuttgart-Germany. Interns will gain first-hand experience in scientific investigation in a dynamic, collaborative research environment and enjoy the overall experience of being abroad. Participating students will be matched individually with designated mentors, working in collaboration throughout the program.
Internship Awards:

1. The Summer CISEI program will run from June 23 to August 29, 2008. Dates may be negotiable depending on location of institution.
2. Housing, travel and living expenses are provided!
