The RISE program sponsors research internships on a quarter-by-quarter basis for UCSB undergraduate science and engineering students. Interns earn $10/hour, for a maximum of 150 hours/quarter. In addition to their research responsibilities, interns will give presentations based on their work and write a final report at the end of the term. Up to 10 internship awards will be given each quarter for any area of science or engineering. However, priority in awarding these internships will go toward projects that fall within the research scope of MRL or CNSI. Awards from CNSI will go to students who formerly attended community colleges. Applicants will need to identify a research sponsor before they apply for these internships. Our intern coordinator can provide assistance and guidance for students. Please contact her to discuss your interests and devise a strategy for finding a research project.
