Surface Area, Porosimetry, Physiosoprtion and Static Chemisorption
The Micromeritics 3Flex provides fast and accurate measurements of a materials pore and surface properties. It can be configured for macropore, mesopore and micropore analyses.
With easy to learn software, designing a measurement is simple and testing runs can be automated.
The instrument is capable of measuring three powder samples simultaneously, using nitrogen and helium gas for analysis. Liquid nitrogen is used for the cryogen.
Several pre-configured options are offered for data interpretation. Reports can be generated for:
- BJH Adsorption / Desorption
- DFT Pore Size
- DFT Surface Energy
- Dollimore-Heal Adsorption / Desorption
- Dubinin Pore Volume
Some examples of applications are:
- Determine the number of surface active sites for catalytic potential (DOI: 10.1021/acscatal.6b03512)
- Characterization of mesoceullar foam for use as a heomstatic agent (DOI: 10.1039/c2tx20065a)
