Structural Databases
The facility maintains two structural databases on CD-ROMs: Inorganic Crystal Database (ICSD) and Powder Diffraction Files (PDF). They are available to users of the x-ray facility free of charge. The ICSB is on the computer next to MRD-II in room 1032 while the new PDF database is installed on the computer which controls the Philips XPERT powder diffractometer. Ask a staff member for instructions on how to use these databases.
