Many instruments in TEMPO are self-train for the most basic functions. Some researchers will only need basic experiments. For these instruments and experiments we have self-training options so you do not have to wait for a training session. To gain access users can watch a training video and complete a training exercise. The instruments with self-training options are the porosimeter, TGA, FTIR, UV-Vis-NIR, fluorimeter, pycnometer, and Dynacool PPMS. TEMPO staff people are available to meet with you after you complete basic video training to discuss your questions and samples.

Some instruments and accessories require In-Person training. Those include the ICP-OES, MPMS, and advanced experiments on any of the self-train instruments. We offer in person sessions when we have enough people (3 - 6). Sign up at the link below and we will contact you when a session is scheduled. If you have samples ready to measure but are still waiting for training, let us know.

Regardless of how you train, TEMPO staff people are happy to help you. Please contact Dr. Amanda Strom for training and information.
