MRL 2053 Conference Room (seats ~50)

Wireless provided by campus wireless (Eduroam, UCSB Secure, etc.) or a local access point named 'GUEST_WIRELESS' - no password.  Ethernet connection by the TV.

Multi-input adapters at the podium.

For Zoom (schematic PDF):

EVO4 Setup (controls the microphones and the speakers via USB-C, a USB-C to USB-A cable in podium)
Mac Driver (v4.4.0) macOS 10.13.x (High Sierra) and Later (usually not needed)
Windows Driver (v4.4.0)  Windows 10 and Later (necessary for full functionality)
The 2 tripod microphones require 'phantom power' to operate and once the EVO4 is connected to a laptop, the power for the microphones is turned on by pressing "1" and then depressing the '48V' button until it glows red and then pressing "2" and repeating pressing the '48V' button.  When you press "1" or "2" the dial lets you know the input gain of the microphone.
The lower right button, when depressed, lets you know the output volume to the speakers.  The speakers have their power rocker switch on the back and have a small blue LED on the front that lights up when powered.

Both the projector (Epson remote) and the TV (Samsung remote) have HDMI inputs.  A blue HDMI extension cable is either in the podium or over by the TV.

Standalone tripod camera (sometimes kept back by large TV) has USB-C to old USB cable and is a Logitech generally compatible without drivers for Mac and Win.

Once connections are made and powered on, launch Zoom.  Select your input and output EVO4 devices in Zoom.  In the schematic diagram linked above, note that there is one computer acting as the Zoom control laptop.  While not necessary, if multiple people are presenting from different laptops, then having a Zoom control laptop is useful for managing screen sharing.  It's recommended that users share their desktop as opposed to the Powerpoint window as sometimes Zoom will display 'Presenter Mode' with the notes and distracting timer in either Zoom or the projector/TV.  There should only be 1 computer that has sound enabled in the room as otherwise feedback will occur.
